With elections in Pakistan around the corner, the department invited Dr Maliha Lodhi to talk about Pakistan before the election. Dr Lodhi was Pakistan's amabassador to the United States from 1994 to 1997 and from 1999 to 2002. Between 2003 and 2008 she was Pakistan's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. In this podcast MA students Tom Meade and John Pryor interview Sean O'Callaghan just before an event organised by the department's International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation. Mr O'Callaghan was one of the most important informers inside the IRA for the Garda Siochana and then the Royal Ulster Constabulary and he spoke about his experiences inside the IRA and also shared his assessment of the current situation.
