Dr Alessio Patalano, Lecturer in the department, sheds light on a naval incident that happened off the Indian coast a week ago involving an Italian tanker and the killing of two Indian fishermen. The incident raises number of important security questions about the fight against piracy, marines on privately owned ships and relations between Italy and India in general.
